| I create all my jewelry designs from an eclectic variety of handmade materials featuring my Glass Art Lampwork Beads. Many designs also contain lovely Swarovski Austrian Crystals and faceted Czech Glass to provide that extra "shimmer" along with natural stones sch as turquoise, coral, goldstone or whatever else catches my eye. Handcrafted Bali or Thai Sterling Silver is occasionally used as a special focal bead or clasp. Each design is constructed using only quality sterling silver, new Tahitian silver and and very infrequently pewter, findings and components. All my jewelry is strung on 19 strand, nylon-coated stainless steel jewelry wire to ensure lasting strength and maximum durability |

| LAMPGLASS BEADS - sometimes called flame work, are each made individually starting from a rod of glass using a butane torch. To see how I make glass beads, click on this Glass Bead Making link.
BEAD SIZE - This chart shows the bead sizes in relation to a dime which is approximately 19 mm. Beads are measured in millimeters and in case you would like to know the size of a bead, the chart will be a good reference for us to communicate. Always feel free to email or call me if you have any questions and I will be happy to clarify them.
SILVER - To take advantage of the great variety available, I use several kinds of silver findings and clasps in my designs. All components are of the highest quality and, of course, have my personal guarantee.
Sterling silver items are made from .925 pure silver, an industry standard. They have a beautiful luster, starting out shiny and then will "patina" in time, that is, its color will take on an "antique" look. It will also oxidize (tarnish) but cleans up beautifully using a silver polishing cloth The new Tahitian sterling silver I use is treated and will tarnish much less often. The silver tubes in my designs are Tahitian Silver. However, you should be aware that a person's body chemicals will also affect sterling tarnishes.
Pewter components are 100% pewter and lead free. Some have a slightly more antiqued appearance but blend beautifully with the sterling silvers. I sometimes use pewter when I cannot find a sterling component to complete a design.
